Due to their location on the gun, most front iron sights preclude the placement of a tactical light forward on a defensive carbine’s 12-o’clock rail, as they typically obstruct the light’s beam. But, thanks to the TangoDown Light Portal Front Sight—and the large hole molded into its rugged anodized-aluminum frame—this is now a problem of the past, as compatible rail-mounted lights can now project straight through it.

Although designed specifically for use with SureFire’s XC1 pistol light, the Light Portal Front Sight is nonetheless suitable for use with many lights of comparable height, and its M4-style post is adjustable for elevation. MSRP is set for $100.
