But just because a tragedy occurs, pro-gun legislation should not be put off. In fact, gun owners know that more guns in the hands of honest citizens will prevent crimes.
Consider in North Carolina, the legislature courageously overrode an anti-gun veto to repeal a century-old, Jim Crow-era pistol purchase permit law a day after the Nashville tragedy.
