Two homeowners in Joplin, Mo., arrived home to an unpleasant surprise, as they encountered an armed intruder who had allegedly barricaded himself inside their house on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

According to a press release from the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office, the 62-year-old alleged burglar was inside the house at 9:30 a.m. when the homeowners arrived at the residence.
