Rock Island Armory (RIA) is unveiling the Rock Island Armory 5.0 series, the successor to the full size RIA 5.0 pistol. The latest RIA 5.0 pistol, known as the RIA5.0E, for “Enhanced,” offers some tweaks over the original model, which initially made its debut in early 2023 at the annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas.

“The RIA5.0E is a groundbreaking product that represents the culmination of our team’s relentless dedication and passion for cutting-edge technology,” Lisa Tuason, President of RIA-USA said. “RIA5.0E is a game-changer, packing revolutionary features and stellar performance,” said Tuason. “The RIA5.0E is set to redefine industry standards and empower our customers like never before because it’s going to blow them away.”

Some of the new features found on the RIA 5.0 Enhanced include an updated slide with additional optics cuts and mounts, an updated barrel with improved lockup and parts geometry, more aggressive serrations to enhance manipulation and Rock Island Armory’s new Armor Series DLC (diamond like coating) surface finish. This new DLC finish is more robust than what is found on the original pistols while also being more visually striking.
